The Root of Suffering is Desire

There is a Buddhist philosophy which states that the root of suffering is desire. If we want, we ache for what we want. This causes suffering and pain. If we do not want, we do not suffer.

We can learn a lesson from this. How many things do you want? Not need, want. How badly do you suffer because of this? Think about it. How many times a day do you feel not good enough, empty or hollow because you cannot get the things you want? Would you feel better if you got them? How long would it really make you happy?

Are you just chasing false fulfilment? Think about it.
